Remembering the fine work they did on my fence several years ago, I recently hired Olympic to build a metal handrail for my front stairs. Jose gave me a rough quote over the phone based on my description, then came out promptly to take more exact measurements and show me sample styles so I could pick something out that looked good to me. He was familiar enough with code requirements to know how high it needed to be from the walking surface without me having to plan it out for him (such a breath of fresh air -- I've had a lot of bad experiences in this area) -- ended up charging me a little bit more than the rough quote since a little bit more metal was required than for what I'd guessed the dimensions would be. The work was done in a week and looks great.
For context: I called Olympic after waiting for more than a week to hear back from a general contractor who had informed me that the handrail was needed to pass an inspection, but wouldn't give me an estimate for how much it would cost. Two weeks after I'd completed my end-run around him, that contractor finally got in touch with me and gave me an estimate that was almost four times as much as what Olympic had charged me, and I feel pretty confident saying that it not only would not have been done with as much attention to detail, I'd still be waiting for that handrail a month from now. This is the BEST Company I every hired. Jose and his employee were very professional. His craftsmanship and his eye for the little details was right on point!! He told me his Dad taught him the trade.. Well! He taught him well!! I not a family member or every had any relationship with him in the past. We all feel scared to do business with people today especially with the hackers and scam artistes out there. But I assure you that you will be very very please with his craftsmanship. We have had two very nice experiences with this company. One was about 100 feet of railing they fabricated & installed about 6 years ago. The other job was another railing they fabricated and installed recently on a balcony we had constructed outside our bedroom. On the more recent job there was a problem with the painting, but they came out and made it right. Emilio is very charming and his son Jose, who does the actual installation, was easy to work with. They can do any kind of custom work you can dream up & their prices are very reasonable.- Howard F.
Just got some gate work done and I was completely happy with their work. I was converting an iron fence into a gate. Emelio came out and gave me a quote - which was much lower than the quote I received from Gomez Iron Works. His son Jose came out and removed the fence and brought it back 2 days later as a gate exactly as we discussed. They were able to preserve the design detail of the fence despite cutting it in half and installing the latch, etc. I'm really happy with their work and would definitely recommend this company.- Dora V.
